There's nothing wrong with your boyfriend's desires. He's right - it's harmless and fairly common (though people often won't admit it).

My wife has done this for me for years and it's anything but degrading. It's fun for her (though she was embarrassed at first) and a huge turn-on for me.

My advice would be to try it and if you don't like it, don't do it again. Tell him in advance that's what you'd like to do.
