Girl the usual, Holiday Inn Express…….Whenever Jeff comes to town he has a suite reserved at the Holiday Inn Express under his name and has a key card waiting on me. He pays for the room in advance and all I have to do is say my name and show my I.D. That’s another reason why I’m smitten with Jeff; he just takes care of shit. I don’t ever have to do a damn thing when I’m with him and he treats me like a queen 24/7; then again it’s probably like that with most affairs. After checking in the room my beeper goes off. I check my message and Jeff will be here in 15 minutes, he is close to downtown. Hannah and I shoot the shit until we hear the door opening. I run and jump on my baby almost knocking him down. I’m not fat, but in no way am I a skinny girl either. Lets just say the collard greens and corn bread have gone to all the right spots. While hugging Jeff I notice his cousin Esquire is with him. Jeff never goes anywhere alone, so I always expect to see him with somebody. Most times I just hope it’s somebody descent, because I have to push them off on Hannah and she don’t be appreciating that shit. I can’t say I blame her, but what are friends for. Esquire and Jeff make it thru the door and he sits his bag down. “Nac lets go downtown to a club to dance and have a few drinks” Jeff said. Sure baby let me pee and freshen my face real quick. If the weather hadn’t cooled down significantly we could walk to the club since the hotel was downtown in the midst of things, but me always being cold wanted to drive. We found a parking spot at a nearby bank, which we had to pay to park. Once we get in the club I see several people I know, so I try and keep my distance from Jeff somewhat. Close but not too close to raise any eyebrows. Big Pun featuring Joe, “Not gonna be a playa no more” comes on and I stand up to dance. Jeff takes my hand and we hit the dance floor. I forget all about my surrounding and was letting Jeff have it on the dance floor. We probably danced to 3 more songs and we were ready for a drink. I followed him to the bar to see Hannah looking crazy and then she rushed my way grabbing my arm tightly. Hold up Hannah what the hell is wrong with you girl? “Girl, Man just walked his ass up in here we better get the hell on.” What the fuck damn where his ass at. “Bitch over there walking toward the bar.” My ass just watch as Man walked right up to the bar and was standing beside Jeff. Now aint this some shit. He quickly turns his head and spots Hannah and I chopping it up. Man walks over and says, “Hey Baby, what’s up Hannah? How long ya’ll been here?” Hey sweetie not long, I thought you had to work tomorrow. “Oh I do Nac, just wanted to have me a drink or two before I go to bed. I’m not messing up anything am I?” No honey why would you think that. Well see you later Man, Hannah and I was just going to relieve our bladders. We hurried to the restroom, so we can plan our escape without Jeff thinking anything was up. We decided I will head outside ahead to get some air while Hannah tells Jeff we are ready to leave, because I have a banging headache. I slip outside and walk slowly toward the car. When I make it to the car I can hear Hannah, Jeff, and Esquire coming behind me. Jeff grabs me close and says, “You okay baby is everything alright?” Yeah baby I got a slight headache and just needed to get out of there; can we go back to the room? “Sure we can and who was the dark skin guy you and Hannah was talking to?”……….
